Free Custom Design Options:

General Customization Notes
- Graphics: Multiple graphics or large graphics – added surcharge
- Colors: If your design has 3 or more colors – added surcharge
- Complexity: If a design has multiple colors and many graphics that are complex in nature – added surcharge
- Custom graphics: Graphics not in our current catalog – added surcharge
- Mask Templates: See OIS Designs for approved template masks, some will have a surcharge
Design Rules and Guidelines
- Graphics should not span wider than 150CM (3 grid squares) or 50cm tall (1 square)
- Standard Logos cannot be removed or re-scaled from designations
(Model, Brand, Ozone) - Graphics can only overlap one color at a time. Graphics should no overlap a multiple-color section. Ie; split deck, stripe, graphic etc
- No graphics inside the cockpit unless a standard designation (Gemini iwa birds are designated)
- 2 Colors max per Ama: base color + graphics. No splits, or pinstripes on Ama.
- No graphics on the inside of Ama (Starboard side)
- Stripes or color sections should not be curved
- Added Text boxes should be used in the “note” section (white space in draft) only
- Texts on canoes are considered custom graphics and should be created as graphics with files attached
- See approved masks for color sections, stripes, chevrons, and shapes. Custom masks will be considered “custom graphics” with a surcharge.
- Manufacturer logo (ozone) removal not allowed. Will void warranty.
- Brand/designer logo removal not allowed (unless written exception by brand/designer)
- Model logo removal requires a request in comments/email and a $100 surcharge
Surcharge Exceptions
- Brand logo on ama, no more than 50cm ie: Kai Wa’a, Puakea, Ozone
Pro Model Rules
- No graphics on the hull (Only designated logos)
- You may choose the color of the Logos and Cockpit (must be a single color, ie: Red Cockpit and Red Logos) – Keep in mind more color, the more weight.
- You may choose to color the ama (does not need to be the same color as the hull logos/cockpit) ie: You may have red logos and cockpit on the hull, with a yellow ama
- You may add brand graphics to the ama ie: Kai Wa’a Logo, Iwa Bird logo, Puakea Logo, Malolo fish Logo, Ozone, ProModel
OC6 (Malolo & Vortex)
- New policy as of June 1st 2021
- No metallics (Aina Red, Metal Blue, Quick Silver, Dark Metal Gunship)
- The only exception: You may use on standard brand logos Ozone, Puakea, Malolo, Flying Fish)
Diagram – Examples
Paint graphics are applied to uneven cylindrical shapes (canoes,surfski etc) using templates. Applying the design is difficult and requires artistic skill.
Terms
Canoe mockups are representations. Actual painted graphics will vary.
Approval
By approving the draft order you agree to our terms & conditions and are prepared for the variables of the process. The placement of graphics will default to what is clearly depicted on the mockup. Termination anchors, scale, and location can deviate depending on the accuracy of the design, design rules, and the discernment of the paint technician. Do not approve a design if you are unsure of our design rules. Dealers must communicate the terms to the customer.
Colors vary
Colors appear differently on digital display screens than on painted products. Colors are also affected by layering and the usage of other colors in the design.
